**Location: Dunedin Port**
**Status:** As a casual you are on a "as and when required" basis working 12-hour shifts.
**Multiple Positions Available in Our Stevedoring and Log Marshalling Operations:**- **Ships Crane Operators:** Responsible for loading log ship vessels uplifting logs from the port to the hull of the ship and discharging vessels carrying commodities like palm kernel or wheat.
- **Excavator Operators:** Operate an excavator with a grapple attachment to stow logs neatly and safely inside and on top of log vessels.
- **Wheeled Excavators** (Material Handler) with Grapple: Tasks include unloading log trucks stacking logs in rows and loading logs onto purpose-built log trailers for movement within the port.
- **Wheel Loader Operators:** Unload log trucks and rail wagons and load logs onto purpose-built log trailers for movement within the port.
- **Terminal Tractor Operators:** Responsible for the movement of semi-trailers across short distances within the port.
You will also be trained in other general stevedoring and log marshalling tasks as part of a specialized team of workers who can handle every challenge that comes our way.
**Requirements:**- Must have experience with cranes diggers or loaders. Log handling experience is desirable.
- Valid NZ Driver's license.
- Right to work in New Zealand.
- Commitment to health and safety for yourself and others.
- Ability to pass a Ministry of Justice check ACC check and a drug and alcohol test (note: random drug and alcohol testing is compulsory).
