- Permanent full-time position, working 40 hours per week

About the Role
The Nurse Practitioner is an expert nurse within an area of practice incorporating advanced knowledge and skills. Nurse practitioners as advanced clinicians will be expected to self-regulate and practice within their area of competence and experience.As a Nurse Practitioner, you will ensure that patient health needs are met through the provision of the diagnosis and the management of patient conditions through the assessment, treatment and review planning process in partnership with patients.
The post holder will undertake upper and /or lower gastrointestinal endoscopy using video endoscopes within the endoscopy unit and provide specialist nursing input to Gastroenterology General Surgery services.

About you- Registration with Nursing Council of New Zealand (NCNZ) as a nurse practitioner and holder of a current annual practicing certificate
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in a specific area of practice
- Completion of an approved clinical Master's degree
- A personal commitment to ongoing learning and development
- Excellent presentation and communication skills (verbal and written) including report writing.
