Gore - Dairy Farming Position
Kahika Farming is a sharemilking business farming at Castlerock, Lumsden in Northern Southland. The farm is owned by Castlerock Farming Company Limited and has been for over 170 years.
We require an enthusiastic individual with passion for the dairy industry to join our team for the coming season. The position offered would be due to start around the beginning of June 2025. Experience is preferred but more importantly it is finding someone who will fit right within our team.
Kahika Farming is a company which offers great opportunity of growth, training and progression within the business. The farm is predominantly focused around dairy, but has a large area of support land. The support land is used for cropping, wintering, young stock & dry stock.This offers plenty of scope to grow/challenge your skill set and is always offering a wide range of tasks.

- 1000 cows at peak milk
- 350 hectare milking platform
- 350 hectare support land
- Modern and well kept machinery
- The farm is located at Castlerock, Lumsden in Northern Southland
- Five minutes to Lumsden, 15 minutes to Mossburn, 30 minutes to Winton, 45 minutes to Gore, 1 hour to Queenstown & Invercargill
- Local primary & secondary schools located in Lumsden and Mossburn with the school bus driving past the farm.
