Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Wood Machinist to operate woodworking machinery used in the manufacturing of timber and composite doors. The role involves cutting, shaping, and finishing timber components to precise specifications, ensuring high-quality outputs that meet production and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities- Set up and operate woodworking machines
- Machine timber and composite materials to size, shape, and profile for door production
- Interpret technical drawings, cutting lists, and job orders
- Monitor machinery during operation to ensure accuracy and product quality
- Conduct routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting of equipment
- Check machined components for defects and make necessary adjustments
- Collaborate with production teams to ensure timely and efficient workflow
- Adhere to all WHS (Workplace Health and Safety) policies and procedures
- NZQF Level 4 qualification,OR
- At least 3 years relevant working experience
- Strong attention to detail and quality control
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Physical fitness and manual dexterity
- Knowledge of timber properties and safe material handling
