Summer Engineering Intern - Christchurch
Would suit engineering (ideally mechanical/civil, but open to all types), who likes a mixture of hands-on, outdoor work plus building & design.
We are looking for someone who:- Has good practical skills, ideally with an ability to show examples of projects you have built or worked on prior (experience with basic tools essential).
- Is fit and capable of hard mahi when required; during installations, this is outdoors/on-farm physical work with long hours.
- Is a high achiever with good grades – do not apply if GPA < 5.
- Has a rip-in, problem-solving mindset.
- Can take direction well and ask questions when they need to, but is also happy to work independently, use initiative and think for critically about what they’ve been tasked with.
- Fits with our company values and culture.
The successful candidate is required to find their own accommodation in New Plymouth so would suit someone who is from the region or has family/friends here. Work vehicle is used often so current NZ driver’s license essential.
Early start date preferrable (end Oct/early Nov).
