Expression of InterestCo-Director of Psychiatry Training Northern RegionPart-Time 0.5 FTEExcellent leadership opportunityFantastic teamHealth New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is firmly grounded in the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and is committed to building a health system that serves all New Zealanders.We are seeking a proven professional to oversee and enhance the psychiatry training programme, focusing on learner supervision, assessment and positive educational outcomes.About the RoleThe role involves ensuring a high-quality training experience, fostering engagement, whilst contributing to workforce transformation and development.This Director role will be responsible for designing and developing the quality of supervision to ensure that the Northern Region Psychiatry Registrar Training Programme is delivered to meet RANZCP standards.In addition, it will also support and advise the Psychiatry VTC Chair and VTC (Psychiatry) to assist them with their decision making.About youYou will have a thorough understanding of all RANZCP Training Regulations and curriculaAre a Fellow of Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (FRANZCP)Have experience in establishing and maintaining key relationship with relevant clinical services and broader servicesStrong clinical experience and supervision experience in psychiatry with FRANZCPProven experience in teaching, training and supervising junior medical staff and healthcare professionalsWorking at Health New ZealandHealth New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is dedicated to ensuring excellent healthcare for the people of New Zealand.
