- Kōrero mō te Tūranga The Research Analyst is an exciting role at the Research and Science Group, Forestry Insights Directorate, Te Uru Rākau
- New Zealand Forest Service.
You will influence the delivery and dissemination of scientific outcomes by the provision of high-quality writing and communication services on a range of research and science products and initiatives in support of the Government's Forestry objectives and the growth of forestry sector.
Some of your core day-to-day duties will involve the following: Support the production of science-based factsheets, reports, and other research outputs to a high standard Read and analyse highly technical information and translate them for diverse audiences Support the delivery offorestry science-based activities such as research plans and monitoring using sound and reasoned information and robust analysis Work closely with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders to ensure that all science-based products, activities, and processes developed are user-centric and fit-for-purpose Actively supportwork programmes and activities within the wider Research and Science Group About You- Mōu We are looking for someone who is proactive, adaptable and thrives in a complex and sometimes ambiguous environment.

To be successful in this role, you will have: Demonstrated experience in producing science-based content and leading science communication activitiesin a relevant technical or professional role Firm grasp of grammatical best practices, target audiences and translation of scientific information A proven ability to produce top quality technical writing High level analytical, evaluation and problem-solving skills Strong written and verbal communication skills Strong ability to plan, manage and prioritise work Experience working in a Government agency (central, regional or local) or knowledge of forestry sector is beneficial.

- Mō tō mātou rōpū The Research and Science Group oversees the science direction and delivery of forestry-related science programmes and partnerships to extract insights and ensure quality, cost effective outcomes.The Group ensures that our approach to forestry management and development is informed by science and evidence.
- New Zealand Forest Service branch and the directorate is responsible for bringing together critical technical capability to effectively inform decision makers and advisors in providing services to the sector.
