Automotive Electrician / Diagnostic Technician

This includes all aspects of auto electrical and automotive air-conditioning work on European made brands and Japanese brands too.

This is a full-time permanent position working a guaranteed 40 hours per week Monday to Friday.

• Reading and following wiring diagrams, and creating electrical circuits using a variety of inputs/outputs and controls
• Diagnosing and repairing automotive electrical and air-conditioning faults
• Working with computer-controlled engine management systems
• Servicing, identifying and repairing faults on electronically controlled vehicle systems
• Installing and maintaining automotive electrical equipment and accessories
• Completing job card and warranty paperwork as per company guidelines

• Trade Qualification – NVQA Level 4 or above with proven minimum 5-year experience in the industry.
• Proven post trade experience with auto-electrical work including diagnostic identification, repairs and maintenance
• Experience in European Brands (BMW, Audi, Mercedes, VW) will be added qualification
• Must be an honest, hardworking team player with a good record of discipline, timekeeping, and flexibility to perform any job assigned to you. This is a “take charge” role.
• Current full NZ driver’s licence
• Ability to use modern equipment and tools.

• NZ citizen, permanent resident or a work visa holder.

• Full-time permanent position
• $30 - $40 per hour salary plus attractive incentive package. (Depends on the experience, qualifications, efficiency and quality of work)
