You will provide cares as delegated by the RN's, delivering patient meals and ensuring they get their hot drinks, as well as managing our stock and ensuring the beds are always ready for the next patients to be admitted.About the Team/Service/ LocationMAPU (Medical Assessment & Planning Unit) is a 16 bedded unit aimed at assessing, treating and supportively discharging medical and surgical patients back home within a 24 hour timeframe or admitting them to their home wards if this is not possible. The unit works hard to enable efficient and effective patient flow through the system. This means taking direct admissions from GP practices and also ED with the aim of providing a thorough assessment and MDT review to enable a safe and timely discharge home.About youAs a Health care assistant In MAPU we are looking for someone who: Has completed Health and Wellbeing: Health Assistance Level 3 or equivalent or prepared to complete within specified timeframesIs friendly, caring and has an empathetic natureIs calm in emergency situations IIs Living the district values Able to deliver any exemplary standard to care to our patients Working at Health New ZealandHealth New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is dedicated to ensuring excellent healthcare for the people of New Zealand.
