King of Snake is at level 1 of the Westpac building on Oxford Terrace.

As a Duty Manager at King of Snake you will:
  • Provide an excellent level of customer service
  • Managing shifts, including the bookings, customer flow, and the effective communication within the team;
  • You'll be responsible for waiting tables and engaging with our valued customers and team in a positive and professional way.
  • Support the Restaurant Manager with the day to day operational management, business KPI's, staff training and development, ordering, quality control and general business oversight. This role will require someone with the skills to manage the business on their own in the Restaurant Managers absence.

The position is competitively remunerated, at between $25 and $30 per hour, and involves working at least 30 hours per week, at one of our highly prestigious central Christchurch locations. The nature of the role means that it inherently involves some late nights.

Requirements

This is a senior position and requires:

  • Be at least 20 years of age;
  • At least one year of Duty Management experience or a relevant qualification;
  • At least one year Bartending experience or relevant qualification
  • Cocktail experience and a love of the art involved in making them;
  • Experience waiting tables or similar customer services experience
  • Excellent personal presentation;
  • Willingness to work and “roll your sleeves up” within a business and high-end restaurant and bar;
  • A passion for customer service;
  • A desire to be part of an industry leading and recognised restaurant and bar;
  • A friendly, positive, and warm persona that makes customers feel at ease;
  • A willingness to learn and adapt;
  • Self-belief, strength, humility, and ambition;
  • Excellent communication skills.
