Job Summary:We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Parts Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will support the parts department in maintaining inventory, assisting customers, processing orders, and ensuring efficient operations. This role is perfect for someone passionate about the industry, with a good understanding of parts and accessories, and excellent customer service skills.
Key Responsibilities:Assist customers (in-person, over the phone, and online) with identifying and locating the correct parts and accessories.
Support the parts manager in inventory management, stock control, and reordering processes.
Receive, unpack, and organize incoming parts shipments.
Maintain a clean, organized, and accurate parts counter and storage area.
Assist with labelling, pricing, and stocking parts on shelves.
Prepare parts for service technicians and ensure timely delivery to the workshop.
Process transactions through the point-of-sale system.
Stay informed on new products, pricing changes, and manufacturer updates.
Handle returns, warranty claims, and core returns following company and supplier guidelines.
Required Skills & Qualifications: Prior experience in a parts department is an advantage, preferably in the motorcycle or automotive industry.
Basic mechanical knowledge and familiarity mechanical parts and systems.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
Proficient in using parts lookup systems and inventory software.
Ability to lift and move parts and stand for extended periods.
