About the role:
Our client is a skilled and reliable Class 2 Driver and Labourer to join our team in Marlborough. This position is an excellent opportunity for an experienced driver to develop their skills and be a part of an amazing organization.
What you'll be doing:
- General labour work as needed
- Driving a class 2 compactor truck around Blenheim collecting wheelie bins and taking the full load to the tip.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working order.
- Maintain accurate logbooks and documentation related to deliveries and vehicle maintenance.
- Provide exceptional customer service and communication with clients
- Assist with loading and unloading of vehicles as needed
- A valid Class 2 driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience as a Class 2 driver in the rubbish collection industry.
- Fit and healthy
- Strong knowledge of traffic regulations and safety best practices.
- Excellent driving and navigation skills.
- Reliable, punctual and able to work independently.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Physical fitness to handle the demands of the role.
