- Te Whatu Ora is firmly grounded in the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and is committed to building a health system that serves all New Zealanders.About the roleThe Medical Assessment Unit is closely linked to the Emergency Department and other front-line services, so variety is a key element in this busy but rewarding role.The unit is responsible for streamlining the assessment and admission of non-critically ill medical patients and accommodates and cares for them for up to 24
- 36 hours so there is ample opportunity to make a difference for patients during what can be a vulnerable and scary experience.This role will see you primarily focusing your attention to the overall needs of the unit.
