About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and skilled Allied Health Professional to lead the allied health acute and rehabilitation teams at Whakatane Hospital. This is a permanent full-time position.
The team is a multidisciplinary team of social workers, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, podiatrists and assistants. This position is to provide clinical operational leadership and advocacy for the Rehabilitation and Inpatient teams at Whakatane Hospital.
About the Team/Service/Location
The Allied Health Acute and Rehabilitation teams are based in the Te Koru Rehabilitation department at Whakatane Hospital, which also hosts the physiotherapy, dietitian, speech language therapy and podiatry outpatient services and the Community Allied Health teams.The teams all work together to create a vibrant and supportive environment.

About you
To be successful in this position you will have:
- Tertiary qualification in an Allied Health profession such as occupational Therapist, physiotherapist, speech language therapist, social worker or dietitian
- Current annual practicing certificate (APC) or AP obtainable by start date
- Minimum of 5 years' experience as a health professional in a complex environment
- Demonstratable success in working to a high level of skill across a range of patient services, both independently and as part of multi-disciplinary team
- Previous experience in service development is desirable
