Summer Front of House - Blenheim

We are Sisu Eatery and Bar on the Picton waterfront and we are looking for a dedicated team member willing to commit to a minimum of 3 months. Guaranteed 30+ hours, more in the peak of the season.
We have a casual but modern concept with less than 30 seats inside (+outdoor seating). We do sharing plates with seasonal and fresh focus; and small producer wines, craft beer and gins. We have around 30 wines open by glass. We are a small owner-operated Eatery and we focus on delivering a great experience to all customers, but also the team.We have a happy supportive team, and we all look out for each other.
We are open for lunch and dinner 6 days a week, so evening and weekend availability is essential.
What we need from you:
Experience in quality restaurant hospitality, as well as a keen interest in Wine.
Great attitude and willingness to learn is a must.
Outgoing personality. We chat with customers and make sure they feel comfortable.
Proactive attidute with ability to prioritize tasks and think on your feet.
Consistency and great attention to detail.
Be a respectful and polite towards everyone, especially your team members.
Willingness to do dishes and cleaning.
Excellent conversational English language skills.
You need to be physically fit to lift wine boxes and stand for long periods of time.
Ability to follow instructions and be happy to comply with our house rules and procedures.
You’ll need to have a current right to work in New Zealand.
No barista skills needed - We focus on beer and wine instead!
What we offer:
$25 + /h negotiable based on your experience.
Rostered shifts over 5 working days a week.

Flexibility work around your schedule if you are woofing in one of the hostels in town.
