Logistics Manager
About the Opportunity:
NZWindows Waikato have an excellent career opportunity for an experienced Logistics Manager to join our dynamic team.?
As a logistics Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all aspects of transportation and logistics operations within the organization. Your primary duties will include managing the transportation of goods, coordinating delivery schedules, optimising delivery routes, and ensuring the timely and efficient movement of products.
Responsibilities Include:
- Coordinate and schedule delivery routes to ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Manage a team of drivers and warehouse staff to ensure smooth operations.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers to maintain adequate stock levels.
- Oversee vehicle maintenance and repairs to ensure fleet efficiency and safety
- Analyse transportation costs and identify opportunities for cost savings.
- Continuously evaluate and improve logistics operations to meet customer demands and business objectives.
About you:
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field would be highly regarded.
- Proven experience in logistics management, transportation operations, or supply chain management.
- A master at dealing with competing and conflicting requests and initiatives and confidently knowing what to prioritise.
- Ability to liaise with internal customers and suppliers, resolving problems and always delivering on ALL jobs in full, on time and in spec.
- Proficiency in logistics software and tools.
- Knowledge of transportation regulations and safety standards.
