Builder Wanted – Quality work & Healthy Materials
We look for clients who want quality in every area.
Over my 16+ years in the industry, I’ve become increasingly aware of how toxic many common building materials are — not just for clients living in the homes long-term, but for us as builders working with them every day. Breathing it in, touching it, cutting it — it adds up.
Because of that, this company is actively moving away from toxic materials and toward healthier, higher-quality building products and methods wherever possible.
If you care about:
- Building high quality houses
- Having elite carpentry skills
- The health of the people living in the homes you build
- Using better materials
…then you’ll likely feel at home here.
Where we’re heading:
Alongside high-quality residential builds and renovations, the long-term direction of the company is toward using local timbers and natural construction techniques — including adobe, light earth, straw bale and other low-tox, high-performance materials.
The work:
- Residential builds, renovations, and alterations
- High standards of workmanship and detail
- Working directly alongside the business owner
- Exposure over time to healthier materials and alternative building methods
Who this role suits:
- Qualified builder with attention to detail
- Someone who takes pride in clean, accurate work
- Open to learning new systems and ways of building
- Reliable, honest, and easy to work with
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a small team
- Full NZ driver’s licence + own tools.
What I offer:
- Consistent workflow and great clients
- Competitive pay based on experience
- A respectful, calm work environment
- Clear communication and realistic expectations
- Opportunity to grow with the company as it evolves
- Work that actually aligns with your values, not just your timesheet
- A van and fuel card in the future
We are going to build some epic houses and if you want to be a core part of this company this is the time to get in!
