About the RoleThis position is based at Community Services Hamilton. In this role, you will be part of a multi-disciplinary team providing occupational therapy services to clients within their home environment.
You will be responsible for managing your own caseload and wait list. Ideally candidates will be Enable housing and wheelchair level 1 accredited, however training will be provided for the successful candidate if required. Click here to view the position description.
About the Team/ServiceAllied Health is a department of the Waikato District that provides Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Speech & Language Therapy, Dietetic, Audiology & New Born Hearing screening, Social Work, and Psychology services.
Staff within these professions are all involved in direct client care and work in a wide range of situations to improve the health and wellbeing of the people they work with. Allied Health staff work in partnership with individuals and their family/whanau to facilitate relationships and a smooth journey through the healthcare system.
About youSkills and experience you need to be considered for the role:Minimum of 12 months post-qualification experience and ideally experience with the Ministry of Health funding processRehabilitation experienceSound clinical reasoning skills and use of evidence-informed practiceEffective time management, prioritisation and organisation skillsAbility to work collaboratively with a range of professional groups in a multidisciplinary settingCurrent full New Zealand driver licence Working at Health New ZealandHealth New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is dedicated to ensuring excellent healthcare for the people of New Zealand.
