About the Role
The General Manager is responsible for the delivery of high-quality clinical practice and patient care within Hawera Hospital. The role expects financial responsibility, delivery of performance targets and ensuring the day-to-day oversight of the safe care and management of patients, staff and property across Hawera Hospital.

About the Team/Service/ Location
Based in Hawera, you will be working with and supported by a dedicated team with a common purpose to provide the best healthcare service to the South Taranaki community.
About you
To be successful in this role you will need to have the following skills and attributes.- Relevant tertiary qualification preferably in health.
- Extensive health service management experience (5+ years).
- Project management skills and/or experience.
- Strong operational management, ideally in a rural health setting.
- Financial and resource management experience.
- Competency with te ao Maori, tikanga, and te reo Maori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth.
- Experience in projects / initiatives which give effect to Te Tiriti principals and frameworks, and the application of Matauranga Maori and Kaupapa Maori approaches, particularly as they apply in healthcare settings.
You will have the enthusiasm, drive and courage to identify and lead change with your leadership and coaching skillset. Your communication skills will be invaluable as you work with various stakeholders, both internal and external.
