General Timber Hand

We are seeking individuals who are willing to complete manual labour tasks. Experience in timber handling / processing including associated equipment an advantage but not a pre-requiste. Remuneration will be linked to skills and experience .

Minimum hours 30 per week

A key job function is to fillet sawn timber.

Applicants may also be required from time to time to operate other plant including but not limited to

Forklifts
Delivery trucks, Class 2 Truck Driver License an advantage but not essential
Ability to operate loaders or other similar heavy equipment

Must hold a valid Drivers License

May be required to operate all timber processing equipment as required. To include.

Planer in & outfeeds
Cut to length saws
Bandsaws
Other sundry timber processing equipment

In addition to operating equipment applicants may be required to

Sort and brand timber products including labelling of product prior to and after the processing of

green & processed timber.

Operate forklifts to move timber to and from processing machines.
Sundry timber processing activities as requested by Operations or Production Supervisors

The business is located in rural Waikato so own transport is essential

Preference will be given to NZ Citizens, Permanent residents or those holding valid Work Visa's.
