We are excited to announce an opening for the position of Logging Dispatcher within our organisation. T.Croft is a well-established company, and we are seeking a dedicated and skilled candidate to join our team. You will report to our experienced Logging Manager to learn the role in a supportive team environment which will equip you with the tools and knowledge needed to succeed.
We are seeking a detail-oriented, organised and reliable Logging Dispatcher to liaise between drivers, customers, and various organisations to maintain smooth operations and optimise logistics processes.
As Logging Dispatcher you will ensure timely and efficient dispatch of logs, oversee routing, scheduling, and track shipments to ensure that customer satisfaction is achieved at all times. The ideal candidate you will be experienced in the logging and / or dispatch industry, an excellent communicator, and able to foster relationships with both employees and customers.
T.Croft will consider a candidate experienced as a logging truck driver, looking at moving into an office-based role, but possesses the knowledge required to perform the role as a dispatcher in the industry.

About the role:- Coordinate the dispatch of logs with due regard to delivery deadlines and budgets
- Coordinate and manage the scheduling of log truck drivers and dispatch of logs
- Track and coordinate the receipt, storage, and timely delivery of logs and materials
- Resolve any issues or delays in the dispatch process
- Communicate with customers to provide reports on dispatch and delivery
- Ensure effective communication within the team and handle customer complaints
- Recruit, train, and monitor the performance of team members
- Manage relations with carriers, suppliers, and clients
- Ensure compliance with company policies, transport laws and regulations
- Implement and oversee safety procedures and protocols
- Review and implement processes to improve dispatch operations
- Maintain records of dispatches, routes, and vehicles
- Ensure vehicles and equipment are regularly maintained and serviced
- Handle and resolve customer complaints or queries
- Proven experience as a Logging Dispatcher or relevant position
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Active listener with excellent communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure and handle stressful situations
- Drug free (T Croft has a zero drug and alcohol policy)
