The position of Electrical Service Technician is a role that is a direct result of continued business growth and customer demand for new and reconditioned edge-banding machines. Because edgebanders require regular servicing, the Electrical Service Technician plays a critical role in the company.
You will work across all phases of the electrical scope, including pre-wire, fit-off, commissioning and finishing. Experience with testing equipment. Creating and updating electrical wiring drawings using computer software. Design and build control cabinets for machinery and oversee electrical component assembly.
Days and hours of work are: Monday to Thursday 7.30am to 5.00pm and on Friday 7.30am to 12.30pm.
Skills and experience:- Must have a current practicing licence and relevant certification such as EST ticket with minimum of Paper A & B.
- Have a strong safety mindset.
- Proven training and/or experience in engineering, technology and/or manufacturing-based environments is a prerequisite
- The ability to problem solve and think analytically
- A range of industry backgrounds are possible but ideally from companies which supply and service technically complex machines
- An eye for detail and precision
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- A commercial mindset and business understanding
- High levels of energy and enthusiasm and an ambitious and driven individual who steadfastly pushes themselves and others for improvement and results
- Current drivers licence.
- Computer literate – especially with Outlook, Word and Excel
