Cook needed

Waikiwi Fish Supply is located in Invercargill. We provide top-class food for travelers and locals. We now need one Cook to help us to provide top-quality food. This is a full-time job with guaranteed hours of 30 hours per week.

The job involves the following tasks and duties:

• Preparing and cooking all the dishes offered by the restaurant
• Seasoning food during preparation and cooking, when necessary
• Monitoring the quality of food at all stages of preparation, cooking, and presentation
• Assisting in improving dishes
• Assisting in managing the overall operation of the kitchen
• Assisting in ordering supplies and stocks
• Ensuring the kitchen’s operation complies with hygiene and safety regulations.

To qualify for the job:

• At least two years of work experience in the Kitchen is needed.
• A certificate in a Cookery-related field replace the required work experience.
• Have a can-do attitude and be able to work under pressure since our restaurant is extremely busy during peak hours.
• You will be required to work during the weekend.
• You should also have good attention to detail to make sure everything that goes through your hands is thoroughly clean.
