Are you a Senior Nurse or Senior Anaesthetic Technician with proven Leadership skills?A rare leadership opportunity to manage our dynamic Level 4 Cardiac & ORL Theatres and Anaesthesia ServiceFull-time, Monday to Friday senior operational role.Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is firmly grounded in the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and is committed to building a health system that serves all New Zealanders.About the RoleWe have an exciting full-time, permanent opportunity for a highly motivated and experienced leader to step into the role of Theatre Operations Manager Level 4 Cardiac and ORL Theatres & Anaesthesia at Auckland City Hospital.In this pivotal role, you will work in close partnership with the Level 4 Theatres & Anaesthesia Service Clinical Director and General Manager, Cardiovascular Services to ensure the safe, efficient, and equitable delivery of care.

This position oversees operational performance, people leadership, workforce planning, resource management, quality improvement and financial accountability for one of New Zealands busiest and most specialised perioperative services.You will lead daily operations for Level 4 Cardiac and ORL theatres, support service-wide planning, and ensure systems and processes are in place to deliver high-quality outcomes for our patients and community.

The role is integral to managing theatre utilisation, performance metrics, risk management and supporting continuous improvement across the service.You will be joining a high-performing, collaborative leadership team committed to excellenceFor further details, please refer to the position description here.About youYou are an experienced clinical and operational leader with a strong understanding of perioperative services, excellent people leadership capability, and a commitment to equity.
