Restaurant Manager
Gusto Italiano is a popular restaurant located in the heart of Ponsonby, in Auckland, providing authentic Italian food and atmosphere.
We are seeking a strong and highly reliable leader to take on the role of a Restaurant Manager.
This is a permanent position for 35 hours of work per week, and up to 40 per week during peak times, organised in rosters from Tuesday to Sunday, from 3 pm to midnight.
The ideal candidate must have at least three years’ verifiable relevant experience, be highly organized, tidy, and be able to lead and inspire the team. The ability to maintain a professional and friendly demeanour, even under extreme stress, is essential.Since we have regular Italian clientele and serve Italian food, a basic knowledge of the language would be an advantage.
Your key responsibilities will be- to lead, motivate and manage the restaurant team to ensure smooth operations;
- supervise, train and support our staff to maintain high service and hygiene standards;
- maintain a clean, organized and welcoming restaurant environment;
- handle costumer inquiries, complaints and special request professionally;
- develop and implement strategies to improve sales and profitability; work closely with the kitchen team to ensure high-quality food service.
In return we offer a competitive hourly pay of $32 per hour and a dynamic and positive work environment.
