BRANCH MANAGER

Shields Bros Panel and Paint have 13 collision repair shops nationwide. We are a family run business for over 40 years. We pride ourselves in providing an interesting and rewarding working environment for our valued staff.

We are looking for a professional, pro-active person who can provide both operational and team leadership qualities through strong communication and interpersonal skills to manage our Avondale branch.

You must be highly organised, with the ability to lead by example and be an extremely motivated individual. Your great coping skills, whilst functioning efficiently under pressure within this fast-paced environment will shine through.

As the ideal candidate, you will have a thorough understanding of both customer service and workshop operations. You will be responsible for overseeing technician’s workload, productivity and efficiency, whilst providing outstanding customer service to both our clients and their insurers.

This role demands explicit attention to detail that is vital to ensuring every vehicle that comes in meets our high standard of workmanship. This requires highly efficient project management throughout the whole repair process!

The right candidate will have: -

• Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage own time efficiently
• The passion and drive to maintain and grow a workshop
• The capability to juggle technicians, workload and customers
• The ability to monitor and maintain productivity and efficiency
• A proactive approach to workshop development
• Strong coping skills to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Have a professional work ethic within multi-cultural environments
• Be self-motivated, reliable and enthusiastic
• Be a clear communicator with leadership qualities
• Have NZ Collision Repair industry experience
• Strong software skills
• Full NZ driver’s licence
• NZ Residency or a valid NZ Work Visa
