Thames - LPG Delivery Driver Class 2 - Bobs Gas Kopu

Matt has been great, but he is off to a hardware store in town, so we are looking for a long term person for this role.
The usual schedule is Monday to Friday, but when we are busy there will be some Saturdays as well and involves deliveries of bottled gas around the Coromandel, Hauraki Plains and the Waikato. You will be using our modern class 2 trucks to deliver to Mums and dads, Nanas and Poppas, businesses and Marae, providing them with the energy for Warm Showers and Hot meals.You will be a critical part of the community you live in.
This is a 40-50hrs a week role with a lot of variety.
We have a very strong focus on health and safety for you, our team and our customers. You will be handling dangerous goods, so attention to detail and commitment to health and safety is critical.
Customer service is part of the job - you might need to answer questions or provide solutions during deliveries. We will provide you with plenty of training and support so you can offer our customers accurate information and industry leading service.
If you are looking for a fulltime position and a variable driving schedule then give us a call.- You will need to have a clean class 2 full license with at least 1 year practical delivery driving experience.
- You will need a D endorsement on your license and be able to demonstrate you understand how to keep yourself, your colleagues and clients safe. We can help you with this if you tick all the rest of the boxes.
- You will have an eye for detail and English will be your first language or you will have well above average English as a second language skills.
- You will take pride in how you and your vehicle are presented, at all times.
- Physical fitness with the ability to lift heavy items when handling cylinders.
We will train you on everything you need to know about handling, transporting and connecting LPG, industrial, medical and hospitality gas cylinders.
