-led change across New Zealand's health systemInfluence policy decisions at the highest level with evidence-led, future-focused advice What you'll do- Ko tōu ake mahi The Ministry of Health is looking for an exceptional policy leader to take on the role of Deputy Director-General, Strategy and Policy.This is a rare opportunity to lead and drive the strategy and policy engine room for New Zealand's health sector.In this high-impact executive role, you'll be responsible for the Ministry's strategy, policy, and data and evidence functions—delivering high-impact, data-driven advice that informs and shapes health priorities, legislation, and investment decisions.You'll work closely with Ministers, policymakers, and sector leaders to identify opportunities for reform, champion innovation in the sector, and ensure our health system is responsive, resilient, and aligned with the needs of all New Zealanders.As an experienced people leader, you'll demonstrate your ability and commitment to building capability of staff within the group and across the wider Ministry.What you'll lead
