What you'll be doing- Working in a team environment as a leader
- Excavate and lay drainage pipes, including storm water, sewerage, and water supply lines.
- Connect pipes to existing infrastructure and ensure proper sealing and joining
- Backfill and compact excavated areas to reinstate the ground
- Inspect and maintain existing drainage systems to identify and resolve any issues
- Operate a range of machinery and equipment required for drainage work
- Working towards daily and weekly production targets
- Ensure all work is completed to the highest safety and quality standards
- Provide support and guidance to junior team members as required
- Civil drainage experience
- A registered Drainlayer with valid certification
- Several years of hands-on experience working with drainage installation in a civil setting
- Strong practical skills in drainage installation, maintenance, and repair
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
- The ability to comply with ITPs
- Strong knowledge of QA reporting in understanding quality hold points
- Strong knowledge in working out invert levels, & pipe lasers & rotating lasers
- A commitment to working safely and adhering to all relevant regulations
- Good communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with other tradespeople
- Full class 1 and WTR endorsement
- Trained Electro fusion butt-welding accreditation would be of benefit
- CCTV experience would be beneficial
- Site safe or construct safe passport preferred
