We
  • re a large teamof over 60 Occupational Therapy professionals who also work closely with thewider multidisciplinary team to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.TheClinical Team Leader is integral to our leadership team, working closely withour other Clinical Team Leaders and the Clinical Manager to lead and improveclinical services in the Older Person
  • s health and Rehabilitation setting.
Acore component of this position will be contributing to daily operationalplanning and supporting any service improvement initiatives, as well as holdinga clinical caseload within our Older Person
  • s Health team.
The cluster has approximately12 staff including registered Occupational Therapists and Allied HealthAssistants.This is apermanent full-time opportunity working Monday
  • Friday approximately 0730
  • 1600.In thisrole, you will be responsible for:Ensuring the day-to-day provision of a high-quality clinical service, primarily within our older people rehabilitation area with multiple diagnosis and conditions, all of whom require rehabilitation to discharge safely.Working closely with the leadership team and wider multidisciplinary colleagues to identity and implement service improvement initiativesMaintaining a designated clinical case load; within Older Person
  • s inpatient services.Supporting and fostering the development of approximately 8-10 direct report Occupational Therapy team membersUndergoing ongoing experience and education in team leadership About YouYour skillswill include:A sound clinical background in a rehabilitation hospital setting (a minimum of 5 years
  • experience post-qualification is desirable)An understanding of core business needs of Occupational Therapy service provisionPrevious experience in leading a team and/or project management is desirableSound working knowledge of local, national and international health systems is strongly desiredProven experience in training and supervision of staff with the ability to foster and support the development of a team both collectively and on an individual basisCompetency with te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reoMāori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of yourlearning and growthRegistration with the Occupational Therapy Board of NZ and current APC is essential (or eligibility to obtain)Workingfor Health New ZealandHealthNew Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is
