Handyman/Yard Team Leader

As the role involves managing two yard team members, ideally you will have some leadership experience – but if you are responsible, reliable and have a good work ethic feel free to apply as leadership skills are something we can help you develop.

You will be responsible for the day to day running of the yard team, maintaining yard and building standards, and ensuring jobs are completed to a high standard. You’ll split your time between leading your team and working alongside them.

The hours for this role are Monday to Friday 5am to 3.30pm – with overtime available if interested.

• Leading and supervising a small Yard team
• Organising and delegating daily work
• Maintaining yard conditions (dust control, levelling, clean-up)
• Overseeing general site upkeep including rubbish removal, weed control, and drainage
• Operating machinery such as loaders, rollers, water trucks, and sweepers
• Carrying out basic building repairs and maintenance (training provided)
• Keeping the builders’ workshop clean, organised, and well stocked
• Managing job requests and ensuring timely completion

• Someone handy or with some trade skills – you don’t need to be an expert, we can train you
• Some leadership experience – but we can build leadership skills for the right person
• A responsible, reliable person with a good work ethic
• A proactive ‘get stuck in’ attitude
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• Someone with a willingness to learn new skills
