The main focus for our business is to offer a positive customer experience, starting with well-maintained equipment, through to a great experience upon picking up and returning equipment.
Varied role - The Branch Mechanic/Customer Service Rep will have a mechanical background and keen interest in tools and machines. You would be responsible for repairing and servicing our fleet (trailers, woodchippers, rollers, cherry pickers, gardening equipment, concrete mixers etc)
Will also be mindful of customer flow and proactively engage with customers as they come in and out of the workshop to load/unload equipment, complete hire agreement forms, take payments, answer questions & explain how to use equipment, upon return check equipment/sign in, make repairs if needed.There's often a lot going on in the branch so at times may be needed to help out the team with whatever gets the job done.
- Carrying out preventative maintenance/servicing on general hire fleet (tools, wood chippers, trailer bearings, scissor lifts)
- Repairing equipment
- Ordering/sourcing parts
- Cleaning/checking equipment to get it ready and safe for the next hire
- Engaging with customers and helping to load/unload equipment
- Demonstrating how to safely operate equipment to customers
- Discussing the ‘right tool for the job’ with customers
- Collecting payment from customers.
Mechanical background would be ideal for repairing our varied range of tools and equipment. Specific on the job training would be provided.
