BEW have additional capabilities in civil construction and have a trucking fleet for most projects. Bond Earth Works Ltd is a specialist asphalting company, predominately services Christchurch and the wider Canterbury area.
We are a well-established surfacing and civil construction company, specialising in asphalting across Christchurch and the wider Canterbury region. With an in-house trucking fleet and a busy forward workload, our drivers play a critical role in keeping our projects running smoothly.
About the role
We’re looking for a skilled and experienced Class 5 Truck Driver to join our team. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who knows civil construction, understands the realities of site work, and takes pride in operating trucks safely and professionally.
The role will include: Class 5 truck and trailer work
Carting plant and equipment to and from siteCorrect tie-down and securing of equipment (essential)
Supporting paving, surfacing, and hot mix operations
Class 4 driving, including pick-up and delivery of materials
Working across multiple sites throughout Canterbury
You’ll be working closely with our site teams, so reliability, communication, and a practical mindset are key.
What you’ll bring
To be successful in this role, you will have: Clean Class 5 Driver Licence (essential)
Proven experience in the civil construction industry (essential)Road Ranger gearbox experience (essential)
Experience carting and securing plant and equipment
Strong understanding of site safety and traffic management environments
A health and safety–focused attitude
The ability to pass a pre-employment drug test
A solid can-do attitude and willingness to muck in
