**Korero mo te turanga - About the role**
Te Herenga Waka – Victoria University of Wellington is currently recruiting a Finance Administrator – Accounts and Programme Support to join the Kapuhipuhi Wellington Uni-Professional team on a 6-month fixed-term, part-time basis. This role is based in Wellington and offers a collaborative, supportive team environment with some flexibility in working arrangements.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day financial administration support across accounts payable and receivable, including processing transactions and maintaining accurate records.
- Support scholarship and externally funded programme financial administration, including tracking payments and reconciling financial activity.
- Assist with financial reconciliations, reporting preparation, and maintaining supporting documentation.
- Maintain finance systems, records, and documentation to ensure accuracy and accessibility.
- Contribute to team support and continuity of finance operations in a small, agile organisation.

You will be a motivated, detail-oriented finance administrator who enjoys working in a collaborative environment and delivering high-quality support.
Key requirements:
- Relevant qualification in accounting, finance, bookkeeping, or equivalent experience.
- Experience in finance administration or accounts support, including accounts payable/receivable and reconciliations.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately with financial data.
- Advanced Excel skills (e.g. pivot tables, VLOOKUP, IF functions) and experience using finance systems.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with a range of stakeholders.
- A proactive, organised approach with the ability to manage workload and meet deadlines.
