We have an opportunity for both an Analyst and Senior Analyst in our Money and Cash Policy Team.
These roles will see you contributing to analysis and research to address key economic issues and questions related to the Future of Money and Payments.

This includes work on the future of the cash system, modernisation of New Zealand's payments system and Digital Cash.A reliable, efficient, innovative and inclusive payment system is a key enabler of our purpose to enable economic wellbeing and prosperity for New Zealanders.

  • The role As the Analyst you will;Contribute to the research and analysis on complex issues related to money and payments in New Zealand and globally Contribute to the timely analysis and dissemination of data, statistics and research Collaborate across teams to inform policy and strategy, communicate insights to internal stakeholders and represent RBNZ externally Develop and maintain external relationships.Review the position description here.As the Senior Analyst you will;Engage and collaborate with a range of internal and external stakeholders Contribute to the development of policy to ensure it is practical, robust and fit for purpose Build and maintain competency and capability to deliver outcomes aligned with the team's policy goals Provide advice to policy makers and present material to internal working groups, steering groups and advisory groups, as well as the payments and currencies committee.Review the position description here.

  • About you You'll need:Relevant professional experience with a tertiary qualification in either economics/finance/law and/or public policy A collaborative approach with the ability to identify and influence key audiences Strong analytical and conceptual skills Excellent relationship management skills and the ability to build and maintain professional relationships particularly with external stakeholders Ideal candidates will have an understanding of payments, banking, central banking and/or fintech.Ngā painga
