Manufacturing Operative

Fine Art Supplies NZ Ltd is a leading manufacturer of art paints in New Zealand. Located in East Tamaki, Auckland, FAS is a family owned business with a great team environment. We are looking for suitably skilled person to perform the following permanent role of 30 hours per week making our water based art paints.

• Work with Senior Paint Maker & Factory Manager on planned production of manufactured products.
• Making of batches following formulations and instructions.
• Performing quality control checking for each batch against required specifications.
• Operating dispersing/mixing machines according to standard operating procedures and batch documents.
• Ensure raw materials are received and stored in allocated areas.
• Fill in on labelling and canning when required.
• Operate a forklift safely.
• Cleaning of production area and machines according to standards set.

• Experience operating production machinery within a busy production environment.
• Comfortable following operating procedures including health and safety.
• Possess excellent English language skills, both written and verbal.
• A good level of physical fitness as this is a hands-on role involving lifting and being on your feet all day.
• A forklift licence.
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work as part of a team.
• An understanding of the importance of working to deadlines.
• Reliable with a committed approach to work with a strong work ethic.
