- What you'll doThe Mental Health, Addiction and Suicide Prevention Group supports the Ministry's role as chief advisor to New Zealand's first Minister for Mental Health, providing leadership both across the health sector and government on mental health, addiction, and suicide prevention matters.Mental health and addiction are key challenges experienced by people and whānau across the country and our work has a wide impact.As a Senior Policy Analyst, you will lead and contribute to challenging and rewarding strategy and policy work that helps to improve the way we support mental health and wellbeing in New Zealand.

- What you'll bringA tertiary qualification in health, public policy, or a related field, or equivalent experience.A strong grasp of public policy and machinery of government.Ability to communicate clearly, adapting style to different audiences and contexts.Proven ability to develop policy, work with diverse stakeholders, and advise Ministers.A can-do attitude and energy to get up to speed quickly.
