Principal Advisor, Te Waipounamu - Communications & Engagement at Te Whatu Ora - - Christchurch

About the Role The primary purpose of this role is to lead the development and implementation of communication strategies that reflect regional priorities and contribute to better health outcomes for all New Zealanders.
These strategies will also align closely with wider organisational goals, ensuring consistency and impact across all levels of communication. You'll work collaboratively with the Regional Team Lead to gain buy-in and engagement from key stakeholders, helping to ensure the successful delivery of these initiatives.In addition, you'll provide mentoring and support to regional Senior Advisors and Advisors, guiding them in the effective implementation of communication strategies, including channel management.
You'll also play an active role in driving continuous improvement within the team, identifying opportunities to enhance processes and practices. A key part of the role will involve identifying and helping to manage regional communication risks to ensure effective and proactive communication across the organisation.About you You'll bring around 7-10 years of experience in a senior communications role, where you've worked closely with leaders to shape and deliver impactful communication outcomes.
You're skilled at collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams to develop and oversee communication strategies and work plans that achieve results.You thrive in complex, fast-paced environments where success depends on building strong relationships and providing sound, well-considered advice.Highly organised and adaptable, you manage multiple priorities with ease, staying calm and professional under pressure.
