We're a well-established business based on Auckland's North Shore with a strong reputation and a steady stream of regular clients, including ongoing vessel maintenance and specialised refit work.
We're looking for an experienced Boat Builder / Marine Cabinet Maker to join our tight-knit team. While formal trade qualifications are preferred, we are also open to time-served candidates who can demonstrate strong hands-on experience and a high standard of workmanship.There is also the option for contract work for the right person.
To be considered for this role, you will need to demonstrate:- Trade qualifications in Boatbuilding or significant time-served industry experience
- Proven hands-on experience in boatbuilding, marine cabinetry, or refit work
- A positive, can-do attitude and eagerness to contribute your energy and ideas
- A team player mindset who takes initiative and enjoys working collaboratively
- Eye for detail and pride in delivering top-quality work
- Experience with teak decking is a strong advantage (but not essential)
- Reliable, punctual, and passionate about the marine industry
- Work on refit and maintenance projects for a range of vessel types
- Carry out precision fit-outs, repairs, and marine joinery
- Maintain high standards of craftsmanship, safety, and finish
- Bringing positive energy and contributing to a respectful, skilled team environment
- Stable full-time hours: 7:00am - 3:30pm with overtime available
