We’re a professional, well-organised installation business specialising in residential new builds, renovations, and residential commercial projects across Christchurch.
We’re looking for an experienced Senior / Lead Carpet Installer to lead and direct two intermediate installers as 2IC, set the standard on site, and deliver consistently high-quality results.
This role is for someone who leads by example, communicates clearly, and takes ownership of the job from start to finish. A positive attitude and professionalism are non-negotiable.
The Role
Lead and supervise two intermediate installers on sitePlan jobsite workflow and ensure jobs run efficiently and on time
Install carpet to a high professional standard (cuts, seams, joins, stairs, finishing)
Read and work from plans and worksheets
Maintain quality control and company standards
Communicate confidently with builders, site foremen, project managers, and homeowners
Keep work sites, vans, tools, and equipment tidy and organised
Train, support, and upskill intermediate team members
Work safely and in line with company H&S procedures
What We’re Looking For
Proven senior-level carpet installation experienceConfident leading a team and making on-site decisions
Strong work ethic with a can-do, no-ego attitude
Physically fit and capable of handling heavy rolls and all aspects of onsite work
Comfortable dealing with a wide range of carpet types & people
Minimum restricted NZ driver licence (full licence preferred)
Full work rights and eligibility to work in New Zealand
Qualifications & Experience
Trade-qualified preferred or equivalent hands-on experienceBuilding or construction industry background a must
Health & Safety knowledge highly valued
Site Safe and First Aid a plus (Site Safe provided if required)
