In a Nutshell
The Triage Structural Estimator is responsible for evaluating the structural integrity of a vehicle after a collision or incident, assessing the extent of damage to the vehicles frame, chassis and other critical structural components ensuring all vehicles are estimated accurately, within agreed timeframes and in accordance with the approved repair specifications as set out by AMI MotorHub.This is achieved by the timely planning and co-ordination of activities with the Centre Manager, Production Manager and Customer Care Representatives.
An important aspect of your role as Triage Structural Estimator involves checking the details of completed jobs and reviewing supplier invoices for accuracy before submitting them for payment approval.This also includes raising invoices for work completed by AMI Motorhub and submitting to Insurers and other organisations for payment.
The Triage Structural Estimator has a customer centric attitude and communicates professionally with our customers, who feel confident to leave their vehicle with AMI MotorHub to be repaired.
As a Triage Structural Estimator you will be required to work onsite each day estimating structural and non-structural vehicle repairs across the country digitally, as well as providing estimating support to the onsite team as required. If you are based in Auckland or Christchurch (or any location with more than one site), you must have the flexibility to work from any site in that location supporting the team and customers as the need arises.
Day to Day Responsibilities- Accurate and efficient estimation of vehicle damage (structural and non-structural)
- Straight forward, confident communication with customers regarding the repair
- Communicate with the customer throughout all stages of repair as required
- Well organised to enable jobs to be carried out effectively and efficiently
- Determine parts availability and delivery times with our suppliers
- Accurate and efficient parts ordering using Repair Connection, PartsTrader or other suppliers as required, having full knowledge of its use
- Order sublet services
- Check and review the repair authority, matching it with costs before submitting for payment authority
- Identify and correct any supplementary charges
- Raise invoices and submit to Insurers, work providers and other organisations for payment
- Communicate and liaise with Assessors to review the repair authority prior to raising an invoice, when required
- Work with the Centre Manager and Production Manager to understand the daily work plan and help match job sizes to production needs
- Attend daily toolbox meetings
- Present repaired vehicles back to customers as required
- Resolve customer issues effectively and immediately
- Clear your estimation work by the end of each day
- Work closely with Centre Manager, Production Manager and onsite Estimators to assess time frame, parts needs, and cost
- Respond quickly to the needs of the Centre Manager and/or Production Manager
- Manage and track all repairs in the customer management system
- Perform quality control on delivered products as required
- Support the Management of and maintain an agreed average repair cost
- Support and Maintain KPI’s within the required metrics
About you
In looking for our next team member, we are seeking someone who has:- Trade qualification or equivalent certification
- 5 years of experience within the automotive repair or related industry
- Ability to interpret damage, determine the severity of structural damage and evaluate repair options
- In depth knowledge of latest repair techniques for structural repairs
- Knowledge of costs and duration of vehicle repairs
- Confident using IT and cloud-based computer system
- Clear, professional, efficient and friendly communication
