PHR Processing Limited is a family owned and operated small mussel processor and exporter based in Marlborough New Zealand . We specialise in high quality wholeshell, vacuum packed New Zealand Greenshell Mussels. We produce this product under our brand “Omega seafood” as well contract process brands.These products are sold in small volumes within New Zealand with the majority of the volume being exported all over the world.
About the role
Our Quality and Food Safety role is essential in ensuring quality and food safety within our dynamic and fast-paced environment is met. This role works closely with all departments within our small family company and plays a critical part in working with our team to get the best quality products to our global customers.
You will be responsible for:
The effective supervision of Food Safety and quality control in all departments associated with production i.e., product receival, cleaning & grading, pouching, cooking and packing, with the primary purpose of maximising and customer satisfaction.
Key responsibilities include:
Managing the Haccp food safety checks of all departments and quality control.Good knowledge of health and safety.
Meeting Product Quality targets for customers.
Developing an improvement culture that continuously strives to do better.
Promoting and encouraging a positive team culture through development, performance, and engagement.
About you
You are have a lot of experience with HACCP food safety or equivalent and an eye for detail with high quality control standards. You enjoy working with a diverse group of people.
You will have
proven experience as a haccp Supervisor.an understanding of the differences of small family businesses compared to larger corporate operations.
excellent communication skills, with a willingness to listen to others.
You will have HACCP food safety qualifications or equivalenta sound understanding of Health and Safety requirements.
experience in making urgent decisions in a fast-paced environment; focusing on balancing competing demands with delivering results.
the ability to build and maintain strong relationships at all levels.
experience in food production environment is essential.
