- Strategy Group, working closely with the Secretary for Justice.This is a unique and influential role where you will drive strategic initiatives and engagement that will have a lasting impact on our justice system and the communities we serve.You will join a strong Strategic Leadership Team, collaborating to lead and enable the success of the Ministry.This is your chance to make a real difference by shaping the strategic direction of the Ministry and ensuring that the Ministry works to strengthen people's trust in the law of Aotearoa New Zealand.In this role, you will have the opportunity to:Develop and steer the strategic direction for the Ministry, monitoring the implementation across the business.Lead and design engagement with a diverse range of stakeholders, including government agencies, Māori organisations, and community groups.Lead and inspire a talented team of professionals dedicated to providing strategic assurance, insights and analytics across the justice sector as well as for the Ministry.Drive continuous improvement and ensure that our systems, processes, and policies are aligned with best practices.Play a pivotal role in supporting transformational change and delivering positive outcomes for our communities.If you are passionate about justice, have a proven track record of strategic leadership, and are ready to take on a challenging and rewarding role, we want to hear from you!
You will also have experience in leadership and management in a medium or large organisation and demonstrated success in many of:Developing and leading the Ministry strategy and monitoring its implementation.Maintaining capability to support a joined-up approach across the Justice sector and within the Ministry.Shaping the culture of your Group and promoting the Ministry's purpose, vision, and values.Supporting Ministry and Justice sector-wide transformational change and initiatives.Leading and promoting the design and implementation of continuous improvements to business unit systems, technology, policies, processes, and procedures.Providing relevant information and identifying key issues in response to Ministerial correspondence and parliamentary questions.Demonstrated ability to act in a collaborative manner and contribute as an effective and supportive member of a senior executive team.Experience in working with or for Māori organisations, particularly at the Māori
