About the Role

In this role you will work within the cardiac cath lab providing support and assistance to the multi-disciplinary team caring for patients undergoing a variety of cardiac procedures. The successful applicant will be flexible, with good prioritisation and time management skills.

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide patient care, support patient flow and assist with tasks delegated by a Registered Nurse.
  • Support the nursing team to deliver a clean, safe, organised and tidy environment for patients and staff.

About the Team/Service

Waikato Hospital is a tertiary referral centre for the Waikato District, with our multidisciplinary team providing a wide range of cardiac diagnostic and interventional procedures. Alongside four labs, we have a 14-bed unit that provides pre and post procedure care to our patients from the hours of 0700 to 2030 hours - Monday to Sunday.

About you

You will bring to the role:

  • Previous experience within a healthcare setting
  • Experience working in an acute setting within a New Zealand hospital is desirable
  • Demonstrated ability to be flexible and adaptable
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Excellent communication skills and a solution-focused attitude
  • Demonstrated prioritisation and problem-solving skills
