AGP operates out of a custom-built world-class facility in Cambridge, just 15 minutes from Hamilton, providing Insulated Glass Units to its client base.AGP is part of the wider APL Group, the market leader of window and doors systems in New Zealand.
The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for leading the day-to-day performance of the warehouse team, ensuring people, products, and processes are well coordinated to support safe, efficient, and reliable operations. This role provides clear leadership across warehouse activity, logistics, documentation, quality control, and team development, while setting the standard for behaviour, accountability, and performance.A key part of the role is building capability within the team through coaching, feedback, and structured training, ensuring operators are supported to perform their roles well . The required hours for this position are 9:30am to 6:30pm, Monday to Friday.
Key Responsibilities- Lead daily warehouse operations across inward goods, dispatch, logistics, documentation, and workflow coordination
- Organise and allocate work to ensure production plans, site deliveries, and customer deadlines are met
- Supervise day to day activity within the warehouse and provide clear direction to team members
- Work closely with other departments to support smooth workflow and on time order fulfilment
- Ensure all paperwork is accurate and up to date, including delivery information, date changes, and late orders
- Maintain a strong focus on health, safety, environmental responsibility, quality, and accuracy
- Coach, support, and develop team members through feedback, on the job training, and clear performance expectations
- Build a team culture based on ownership, accountability, trust, and pride in workmanship
- Identify and drive practical process improvements to lift efficiency, quality, and consistency
- A practical, people focused leader who can build trust and create a high performing team environment
- Strong planning, organisation, problem solving, and time management skills
- Good attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality and accuracy
- Sound understanding of warehouse operations, health and safety, and fast paced operational environments
- Confident communicating across different teams, departments, and levels of the business
- Comfortable using computers and production systems
- Able to make sound decisions under pressure and resolve issues calmly and constructively
- Most importantly, you will have the ability to lead people well, develop others, and support the team to perform safely, efficiently, and consistently
Previous supervisory or leadership experience is beneficial but not essential. What matters most is your ability to lead people, build trust, and create a high performing team environment.
