About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and organised Casual Materials Coordinator to support our Theatre team at Hawkes Bay Hospital. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the supply, storage, and distribution of theatre materials and equipment, ensuring that all resources are available and maintained to support efficient and safe surgical services.

This is a casual position, offering flexibility and the opportunity to contribute to a critical service within the hospital.

The Theatre Service at Hawkes Bay Hospital is a dynamic, fast-paced environment that provides high-quality surgical care across a wide range of specialties. Our team is dedicated, collaborative, and committed to patient safety and excellence in care.

You will be working closely with theatre staff, nursing teams, and other hospital departments to ensure smooth and effective theatre operations. Hawkes Bay Hospital is a central healthcare facility serving our local community, with a strong focus on teamwork, professional development, and innovation.

About you

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
  • Reliable, flexible, and able to adapt to a fast-paced environment.
  • Experienced in inventory management, stock control, or materials coordination (hospital or clinical experience is advantageous).
  • A strong communicator who works well in a team environment.
  • Committed to maintaining high standards of safety, hygiene, and compliance.
