Assistant Catering Manager
The role
This is an exceptional opportunity for an excellent Assistant Catering Manager to join a beacon of excellence in girls’ education and make a positive contribution to the aspirational vision of a thriving academy.
As Assistant Catering Manager, you will be involved in the preparation, cooking and service of meals and refreshments. You will ensure that excellent quality and value for money are consistently provided while observing strict portion control, as well as storing, handling, preparing, processing, cooking and serving food in accordance with the highest standards of food hygiene at all times.
You will take personal pride in the quality and smooth running of the catering service. This involves building effective working relationships across the academy and ensuring that all kitchen equipment is kept clean, operational and maintained in a safe working condition.
The successful candidate will need a catering qualification such as NVQ Level 2 or City & Guilds alongside a Food Hygiene Certificate. You will have substantial experience in large-scale catering, preferably within an education context, paired with excellent cooking skills and a thorough knowledge of relevant health and safety requirements.
