ODWR Whanau (family) Violence Practitioner
(25/30 hours per week) 5 days per week start 9.00am - (TBC)

About the Role- Primarily based within our Safe House, and in the community with occasional programme facilitation, this is a unique opportunity to create lasting change through direct, culturally responsive, and trauma-informed support — always centering the voice, lead, and aspirations of whanau.
- Promote and maintain a safe, healthy work environment supporting a culture of collective wellbeing, and contribute to the wider kaupapa of ODWR with flexibility, a solution-focused approach, integrity, and a willingness to support wherever needed, especially during times of change or crisis.
- Availability to participate in the 24/7 crisis line on-call roster.
- A relevant qualification — preferably as a Registered Social Worker, Health Professional, or in a related field.
- A full, clean New Zealand driver’s licence.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive New Zealand Police vetting check (including a full criminal history check).
- A deep commitment to upholding our Code of Conduct — grounded in professionalism, emotional intelligence, and accountability — including the ability to take direction, work collaboratively, maintain clear communication, and uphold the values of ODWR in all aspects of practice.
