Operations Co-ordinator / Office Administrator

Community Business & Environment Centre (CBEC) is a community enterprise based in Kaitaia. For 37 years we have strived to create employment in Tai Tokerau while looking after the environment. We run a variety of different businesses and are currently looking for a full-time Operations Co-Ordinator who has the ability to work in a high energy environment and efficiently manage a wide range of tasks.

The successful applicant must be able to work with and communicate positively to a wide range of staff, people, customers, trade persons etc. You will be the first point of contact for many of our clients and customers. Excellent time management skills are crucial, and you must be a self starter.

The roll will require you to be actively involved in a number of our businesses where no two days are the same. Responsibilities will include receptionist, administration and operations support for the Far North Link Bus service, Property Services department and Marquee hire.

You will also be required to assist the CEO and other Senior Management producing reports and documents.

Duties include but are not limited to -
  • Fast and responsive customer service
  • Accurate and timely data entry
  • Fielding phone calls
  • Fleet management
  • Health and Safety monitoring
  • Updating details and making bookings
  • Taking payments
  • Document management
  • Assist with office upkeep, functions, and events
You will -
  • Be well presented
  • Have exceptional communication skills both written and verbal
  • Have experience in dealing with customers and complaints
  • Be able to clearly communicate and liaise with employees, clients and customers
  • It is important that you are positive, energetic and pride yourself on being able to adapt, be flexible and a real team player.
  • Demonstrate a passion for high quality customer service
  • Have computer skills (MS suite and outlook experience is a must – (Intermediate or experienced level)
  • Highly organised and methodical
  • Ability to juggle priorities and be able to think on your feet
  • Ability to prioritise tasks on the run
  • Ability to build a rapport with clients
  • Full Drivers Licence
  • Have permanent working rights for NZ
Hours are between 8:00am to 5:00pm Monday to Friday. Approximately 30-40 hours per week.
