An exciting opportunity is available for a highly motivated and innovative Registered Nurse within the Hapaitia roopu in the Hospital Operations Directorate.
Working as nurse within the Hapaitia roopu, you will be part of a dynamic, enthusiastic, positive and passionate multi-disciplinary team. You will provide nursing advice, care and expertise, both in direct patient care and in support of other staff caring for patients on the Hapaitia (behaviours of concern) pathway.
In this role you will be:
Enhancing mana, support and safety for all patients and staff around the Hapaitia pathway.Patients with Behaviours of Concern are assessed as having a range of behaviours which may include: risk of suicide/self-harm, pulling out of medical lines/tubes, impulsivity, using verbal or physical abuse or threatening others, mildly agitated and wandering etc.

Nga Pukenga Motuhake | Important Skills
Be an experienced Adults registered nurse with 5 years experience and will either have or be eligible for registration with NZ Nursing Council.Have proficient or expert level Professional Development Recognition Programme (PDRP) portfolio or equivalent
Have excellent communication and problem solving skills with the ability to work in a bi-cultural environment
Have a commitment to achieving equitable outcomes for Maori and other communities identified by the NZ Health Strategy
